Abstract
The article engages consciousness studies to apprehend the creative and destructive forces of fire as agents of renewal and as catalyst in the process from "ashes to ashes". Starting from the cosmic mind and Vedic concepts the article works through Craig and Wagner to reveal the function of fire in "unmanifest to manifest creation.
