Abstract

Images is the UK's leading illustration competition, annual, awards show, and touring
exhibition dedicated to showcasing the very best contemporary illustration published in the
UK. Images is unique in that it is Britain's only jury-selected illustration competition, judged by
a highly regarded panel of industry experts. There is a London show and a published annual
containing all the selected works.
Untitled is from a series of works that explores whether an illustration can be an illustration
without responding to a brief or having any intended purpose other than being a picture
without meaning. This work is deliberately ambiguous in message and therefore without a
title. The image appears to have a meaning but this meaning proves to be indecipherable. It is
a digitally created artwork.
Untitled is included in an annual that shows the best contemporary illustration in the UK. The
exhibition is reviewed in the national press and attracts a high number of visitors at the
London show.
