Abstract

The objectives of the CCHA condensation study were:
a) to investigate the problem of condensation in rehabilitated property;
b)to identify remedial measures;
c)to assess the effectiveness of the proposed solutions.
There were two stages to the study. The first stage was designed to identify the extend of the condensation problem in the sample, and then to select properties for remedial work. The second stage was conducted after the improvements were made, and was designed to assess the effectiveness of the remedial measures undertaken. During each stage a social survey and a physical survey were conducted.
