Abstract
We are particularly interested in looking at how people change their own communities – i.e. the processes by which people recognise and respond to local needs (and opportunities) and the structural forms that help shape and influence these processes in rural communities. We present illustrations of recent change and development activities within two UK rural communities that highlight some aspects we have found particularly interesting in these processes.
