Abstract
A collaborative project with Tamar MacLellan. A limited edition artists' book entitled Mr Craggs� left-over type. Based on the contents of a found box of wooden type, this book uses limitations and availability to produce playful anagrams - to enable each letter to be used once within each phrase. Despite the limitations of the wood type, nine phrases were produced with accompanying mono-print illustrations � these were digitally printed and machine stitched to the letterpressed pages.

This artefact was selected for an exhibition entitled Rukssian: Artists' Books. Curated by Sarah Bodman, V Vlasov, V K Lukin, M V Pogarsky. The exhibition was at the State Museum Reserve Tsaritsyno - March-May 2014. The artefact was purchased by The Slade (UCL) for their permanent collection. (November 2015). |
