Abstract
Despite great achievements by sex workers’ collectives and support organisations to make sex workers’ voices heard, those living with HIV/AIDS continue to experience stigma and
discrimination. This is my conclusion after observing the outdoor sex industry in Italy and Scotland since 1992 as an
HIV/AIDS activist and academic.
