Abstract
This paper examines the extent - and limitations - of the European Union's provision of rights to homosexual citizens and workers within the Union. It examines European jurisprudence and EU policies to examine how these have operated as new sources of rights for homosexuals in Europe and how a state's membership of the Union has operated to provide new forums in which homosexuals have been able to articulate and pursue rights claims.
