Abstract

In this article, I discuss about the necessity of the explicit Body in performance and I trace and contextualize the first attempts in the Greek Live Art scene. In my analysis of the political investment of the Body in Performance, I bring a contextual examination of the current economic and political situation in Greece and how it has shaped the output of the contemporary local Live Art scene. The article is published by the State Museum of Contemporary Art in Greece and it is produced in both English and Greek.
