Abstract
‘Open House’ is the result of collaboration with multi-disciplinary artist Angie Butler of the Pet Galerie Press. This two-volume set of artists’ books – No.18 and No.42, was created especially for the ‘Sense of Place’ exhibition, curated by Karen Kinoshita at the University of Minnesota.
The places where we live are intrinsically linked with revealing who we are; together we decided to carry out some domestic archaeology, by giving each other an on line tour of our homes, to unearth a variety of narratives and hopefully, a wealth of new information.

ISSN 0960-9253 This artefact will form part of an exhibition curated by Josie Reed entitled ‘To have and to hold’ (an exhibition of 50 beautiful books) at the Flow Gallery in Notting Hill, London from 6-7 September 2013. Open House will be represented by Reed Contemporary Books at the London Art Book Fair – Whitechapel Gallery – from 13-15 September 2013. This book has been selected to form part of an exhibition called Personal Histories which has exhibited at the Redland Museum, Queensland, Australia 12 Oct-14 Nov 2014.
