Abstract
This lecture dentifies a series of conceptual cognates between Sartre’s early theatre theory and his 'Being and Nothingness' era philosophy, retaining an appreciation of Sartre as a practicing dramaturg working to develop theories designed to breach the constraints of existing models of theatre.
