Abstract
Sports subjects are vast and varied and involve a complex and interrelated coverage of many discipline areas including biology, sociology, psychology, business physiology and technology to name a few. The manner in which sport pedagogies are developed, challenged and transformed has not commonly been scrutinised from a critical perspective. Critical Pedagogies in Sport has created a space for colleagues to share, discuss, collaborate, and challenge the way in which teaching and learning is framed, delivered, and understood within higher education globally. This poster provides the academic and social context and need for an international network of this type and the journey it has taken to date. The CPIS network seeks to interrogate what, why and how we teach in relation to inclusive education in sport. By undertaking this process, the network will re/view, challenge, and address inequities in relation to teaching and learning which impact student experience and engagement. This poster also provides conclusions and recommendations on how to effectively utilise critical approaches in pedagogic design and delivery. Future plans for the network, including ways to become involved, are also discussed.
