Abstract
Technological advancement continuously changes the ways people live and relate with each other, raising questions about the role of innovation in societal progress. The world of work has been especially influenced by those developments. From work based on ubiquitous technology (e.g., smartphones) to digital manufacturing, advancement of immersive technology (i.e., virtual reality, augmented reality, etc.) and the internet of things, there are not these days many occupations that don’t deal with some kind of digital technology.
This workshop aims to create awareness about the role, challenges and opportunities for work and organisational psychology researchers and practitioners that emerge from highly digital workplaces.
Drawing on some information brought by the facilitator, delegates will be asked to actively participate in the identification of those challenges and opportunities. By doing so, we hope to contribute to the development of a network of researchers and practitioners interested in the topic and promote future collaboration among the participants.
