Abstract
This resource guide is designed for people who have been convicted and sentenced for using technology
and devices connected to the Internet for illegal activities that are known as Internet-related child
sexual offenses. These offenses typically involve accessing child sexual exploitation material (CSEM),
also known as indecent images of children and child sexual abuse imagery. However, the offenses could
also include communication with a child, or with someone whom the offender believes is a minor, for
the purpose of committing a sexual offense, through the act of carrying out, promoting, or enabling a
child’s exposure to sexual material.
