Abstract

This paper is part of a special issue of the Council of University Classics Departments Bulletin, which brings together a range of contributors to consider the relationship between Classics and the modern world. My contribution reflects on how the teaching of Latin at Lincoln may be instructive for the future of the field. The full special issue, 'Perspectives on Classics', is open access: https://cucd.blogs.sas.ac.uk/files/2022/09/Perspectives-on-Classics-1.pdf.
