Abstract

A response by the authors of the recent article 'Anabolics coaching: Emic harm reduction or a public health concern?' to the commentaries provided by other researchers for Performance Enhancement & Health. The article responds in turn to the commentaries 'Coaching the Drug Coach' by Tim Piatkowski and Matthew Dunn; ‘The case for ‘anabolics’ coaches: selflessness versus self-interest?’ by Orlanda Harvey and Edwin van Teijlingen; and ‘Anabolics coaching: A necessary evil?’ by Mair Underwood. The authors of the original article then discuss future directions for research in this area, building off these three commentaries.
