Abstract

Skills for Success is a transition support unit that was co-created with students as an extension to the traditional 'welcome week', supporting students with holistic skill development and enabling students to personalise their learning journey. Student feedback highlighted the impact on their 'motivation to achieve' and support for maintaining positive mental health. Attainment data demonstrates that , following the introduction of Skills for Success, attainment gaps in academic skills modules closed.
