Abstract
his book was roughly compiled around the presentations given in the workshops hosted by (In)Justice International in March/April 2021. The workshops were conducted over consecutive Wednesdays where Crime, criminalisation and injustice were pivotal themes that ran throughout the four-stream proceedings of this workshop-oriented event. On the whole, the event comprised of 31 speakers and 524 participating attendees (of all backgrounds) from 28 different countries. They formed the basis upon which broader, more holistic discussions of the lived experiences and traumas of people from different Indigenous origins, ethnicities, disabilities and the ‘so-called’ problematic youth (of all types) could take place. Gender, social exclusion, institutional discrimination, the intersectional nature of these crimes and effects, (social) media influence and public perception were also prominent aspects of the presentations and ensuing deliberations.
