Abstract
A male member of the Gicumbi Youth Club (Gicumbi district; Rwanda) wrote the song ‘Don’t disturb the peace’ in May 2021. The song is about peacebuilding and lessons learnt from arts-based activities (MAP Manual) with club members.
The lyrics describe the MAP project and Rwandan values on peace and security. It highlights the following ‘taboos’ in Rwandan culture that affect both club members and the community: history, instilling conflicts, drug consumption, being a traitor to his country.
