Abstract
This interim report provides an evaluation of year 3 of a 4-year project, established by Double Impact (DI) and funded by the Big Lottery Community Fund, which aims to help people recover from drug and alcohol problems. The Boston Recovery Pathways Project (BRP) seeks to enable service beneficiaries to gain new skills and qualifications, improve their prospects, and feel more connected to their local community. Findings show that BRP continues to provide positive outcomes for individuals in recovery. For example, in comparison to Year 1 engagement of 24 individuals in recovery focussed groups and support, there was an engagement of 86 individuals during year 3, representing a 258% increase in engagement. Overall, the Boston Recovery Pathway has succeeded in intensively engaging with and building the local recovery community this year, demonstrating a continued trend in improving outcomes for individuals in recovery in the face of a global pandemic and tackling associated challenges competently throughout.
