Abstract
To consider entrepreneurship as a dynamo for economic development is challenged throughout this work done in central Mexico. Two programs from different rural communities in Guanajuato are studied. Probably the most promising finding is to recognize that individual economic development and community social development are not linked. A proposal to increase quality of life in rural communities is presented. It is centered on creating and maintaining self-organized web-based networks
