Abstract

Universities have initiatives to support students with disabilities, but these may not lead to full equal opportunities in all cases. We interviewed 20 undergraduate students from the University of Lincoln and asked about their experiences. This highlighted that students had positive experiences of support from Student Wellbeing, particularly in relation to mental health. Issues remained in relation to academic life, university societies and clubs, mobility issues and peer support. Findings were presented and discussed in relation to the student experience and possible targets for developing solutions to these issues.
