Abstract
Early childhood care options and practices differ around the world, as influenced by societal perspectives and needs. As early educators and policymakers around the world work to improve education and care services to better serve young children and their families, we must consider context-specific values and standards of quality to ensure early education benefits the young children it serves. This article highlights the existing child care service system in Singapore, focusing on its unique features, challenges to enhance quality, and future possibilities.
