Abstract
This chapter outlines the approach of the Conservative Party, under David Cameron's leadership, to the making and delivery of social policies. It considers the implications of these, and of likely changes, including in the Coalition with the Liberal Democrats. It suggests that despite the significance of many of the Coalition's reform proposals, there is little evidence to suggest any real redistribution of power, particularly to those who currently have least.
