Abstract

Live Audio-Visual performance during Plymouth University's ICCI360 festival in September 2010. A 5 screen 360 degree image was created from hand-drawn 16mm film and real-time video synthesis. Responding to the festival theme (exploring new space), the visual aspects (drawn-film deployed across 4 screens) of this performance explored the liminal attributes of coastal landscape. Custom built video synthesis software (deployed on the remaining screen) generated modulated waveforms that were transformed by the pitch and volume of the live shakuhachi.
