Abstract
This article is drawn from the presidential address given to the Friends Historical Society (FHS) in May 2019, with the kind permission of the FHS. In it, I seek to identify the nature of the historic relationship between Jews and Quakers, why that relationship was of value to other groups and what relevance that past history may have to the present day.
