Abstract
In the run-up to the HeritageDot Conference, the co_LAB team facilitated a 3-day intensive 'Heritage Hack' workshop in association with the Centre for Creativity and Culture, Lincoln Conservation Lab, MACE and the International Bomber Command Centre. The aim of the workshop was to bring together staff and students from across the University to explore the implications of digitisation in the context of the heritage sector. Using a 'design thinking' approach in response the specific challenges facing digital archivists at the IBCC, the participants worked to in partnership to develop proof-of-concepts for a data visualisation / digital archive navigation tool.
This 'Education and Outreach' panel addressed the results of the Heritage Hack form the student and staff perspective, with the student participants joining us to showcase their prototypes and to discuss their experiences.
