Abstract
The research was focused on specific areas of the exterior of the house where it was thought or known that original fabric remained. The main surfaces of the exterior had been extensively repaired and the render replaced over time. The areas targeted for the research would hopefully retain sufficient evidence for paint schemes to enable a full decorative chronology to be established. The research was undertaken for a limited budget specified by the client, and restricted to those areas accessible by scaffolded access.
