Abstract

This very short book is a reprinting of the two articles in which Hohfeld explained his eight types of legal relations: Some Fundamental Legal Conceptions as Applied in Judicial Reasoning (1913) 23 Yale Law Journal 16, and Fundamental Legal Conceptions as Applied in Judicial Reasoning (1917) 26 Yale Law Journal 710. The book also contains a Forward by Arthur L Corbin, and an Introduction by Walter Wheeler Cook (itself reprinted from (1919) 28 Yale Law Journal 721).
