Abstract
Featuring singer-songwriter and beatboxing champion Grace Savage, Lexi is a one-woman show bringing together beatboxing, spoken word and music in a modern retelling of the Greek story Elektra.
Hull, 2017, a smoking summer. Lexi is ready for her life to start, busting beats and singing songs. She’s got big plans. Then a suckerpunch: she finds her dad dead. Obsessed with finding out the truth, her life becomes a dark path full of secrets, lies and home truths.
By Laura Turner. Directed by Jake Smith. Performed by Grace Savage. Original music by Grace Savage.
Presented at the Humber Mouth Festival, 2017.
