Abstract

The doctoral study documented in this thesis sought to develop a participatory framework for addressing built environment issues, particularly the pilot topic of domestic energy efficiency. The study was comprised of two distinct parts, encompassing an initial investigation to define the nature of the problem proposed for investigation, followed by the development and presentation of the framework in response.
