Abstract

This is the Editorial for the 2017 edition of Natalia, which addresses all things related to Natal Colony and the contemporary KwaZulu-Natal Province. This Journal has been published for 47 years (now in its 48th) and the author assumed Editorship in a much changed South Africa from when the Journal was originally started, reflecting an urgent need for change. This Editorial reflects the nature of changes made (although largely intended for the 48th volume) which are made in the interests of generational, gender and demographic transformation.
