Abstract

On the occasion of the Day of the Balearic Islands, the Centre Balears Europa in Brussels organised a donation of musical instruments to the Musical Instruments Museum (MIM) of Brussels and a social event around the music and food of the Balearic Islands. Musicians from Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza and Formentera were invited to participate at both events, along with ethnomusicologist Cassandre Balosso-Bardin, who gave a presentation on the music of the Balearic Islands and presented the donated instruments to the MIM alongside the Vice President of the Balearic Islands Government and the deputy director of the Centre Balears Europa Brusel.les.
