Abstract
Comments on the ruling in Huseynova v Azerbaijan (10653/10) (ECtHR) on whether Azerbaijan breached ECHR art.2 in relation to a journalist allegedly killed by state agents and the investigation of his murder, which was still ongoing 12 years after his death. Notes the significance of the length of the investigation and the court's failure to examine the case under art.10.
