Abstract
Rituals to Mould Her With was funded by RVW Trust, Hinrichsen Foundation and Brigstow Institute. It was written for harpsichordist Jane Chapman and dancer Harriet Parker-Beldeau, and performed at London's Kings Place (2017), Handel and Hendrix in London (2017), Royal West of England Academy in Bristol (2016) and Southampton's Turner Sims (2016). It was developed using a devised process that is most commonly associated with the theatre, in which dancer and harpsichordist influenced the evolving composition at each stage of development. The result is a score that is closely linked to events of each devising session and to the particular artists involved.
