Abstract

The extended Kalman filter (EKF) is proposed as a candidate methodology to eliminate the requirement for isolated feedback sensors (components that contribute to complexity, component count and cost), for the closed-loop regulation of 3rd-order LCC resonant power supplies. Unlike previously reported methodologies it is shown that the proposed formulation accommodates the effects of output load variations and enhanced disturbance rejection using a feedforward control scheme
