Abstract

Debbie Whelan of Archaic Consulting (Pty.) Ltd was contracted by Mr. Tony Tatham to proceed with an investigation on the Mkhuzane Claim, situated in the Richmond district. The claim as submitted consists of three separate claims, which have been conflated for the purpose of expediency under a single claim by Chief Dingiswayo Sithole. These will be discussed in more detail in section 4. The properties claimed were gazetted on 14 July 2006 and consist of 92 separate erven on the parent farms Lelie Fontein 1053 Brasfort Park 1295, and Kruysfontein and Weltevreden 826. It is important to know at the outset that thus far, some 18 properties have already been transferred in this claim with a possible two extra erven for sale. The total value of the properties already transferred is some R 47 874 732.00 with a total hectarage of over 1510ha.

Additional Information:This report, although discovered, is tabled in the Regional Land Claims Court and is currently part of court documentation in current proceedings in which the author is currently committed as Expert Witness.
