Abstract
A tour of Nottingham’s radical political history in the built environment, including Luddites, Chartists, cheese rioters and municipal reformers. In the 18th and 19th Century Nottingham became a byword around the country for agitation and unrest. This reached a head when the people burnt down the Castle when the Reform Bill was rejected by the House of Lords in 1831.
