Abstract
Seeing Within: Art and the Study of Anatomy is an innovative course that was trialed by first
and second year medical students at the University of Nottingham in Autumn 2009. It aimed to
explore artistic approaches to studying the human body, in order to develop new learning methods and a greater knowledge of anatomy through the medium of art.
The course was developed and delivered by Dr Angela Bartram and Dr Richard Clothier in conjunction with Dr Victoria Tischler and Helena Ben-Zenou.
