Abstract

The Great British public could be forgiven for assuming that UK Engineering is down, becoming extinct or perhaps even finished. The truth is, the face of UK Engineering has changed considerably over recent years. It has become leaner, agile, more customer focussed and most importantly has found ways to diversify in the global marketplace. On the whole it has been relatively successful. This success story of diversification is no different here in Lincolnshire. Therefore, a more suitable expression I would use to describe UK Engineering is ‘underrated’. It is most definitely not out…yet!
