Abstract
This paper looks at the developments that will shape schools of the future. The view is longer-term - not five years but twenty years. The paper argues that schools have to keep pace with society, which changes faster than schools as institutions do. It argues for a more innovative approach to considering the education future and draws out some implications of change for the future shape of schools.
