Abstract
This paper looks at the networks of small scale domestic tuition for men preparing for Anglican ordination in the late Georgian Church of England. These networks have previously been overlooked but give an insight into the routes through which men were recruited into the church and evangelical theology spread.
This paper was the winner of the Michael Kennedy Prize
