Abstract

Since the advent of the internet, the topic of internet offending has become prevalent and the numbers of internet sex offenders are constantly on the rise. In the UK, there was a 26-fold increase in conviction for internet sex offending from 1989 to 2009. This research presentation will look at a specific subgroup of internet sex offenders, namely those who engage in child sexual exploitation material, and what is currently known about their subgroup classification.
