Abstract
‘The Edge’ is a monthly magazine produced by the Economic and Social Research Council. I was commissioned to produce a single full colour illustration to accompany an article titled ‘Ancient ruins and Pagan temples’ which examined apparent conflicts of interest between preservationists and pagans use of ancient sites. The research question investigated in the production of this work was how to effectively communicate an intended message to a selected audience interested in the subject matter of the article. This question is part of continued enquiry examining the nature of visual communication within an editorial context.
