Abstract

Peacock was selected to research and prepare experimental new visual concepts and drawing-based characterisations that would develop into a range of new proposals to be disseminated through a set of new published books. The new drawings use the platform of the Children’s TV series ‘Brum’ as a starting base-line for creative development. Following extensive visual research and further creative experiments and on the basis of a submitted folio, Peacock was selected to create final drawings, characterisations and concepts. These were published using his pseudonym Zig Peterson. Selection for this visual research was achieved through esteem and reputation in the creative industries. Peacock was among several illustrators represented by Meiklejohn Illustration Artists Agent. This Artist Agent commissions visual research and final drawings for several well known brands that include: Citroen Cars, Martini, Martell Cognac, Philips, Barclays Bank, Swedish Air, NCP Hong Kong, Air France, New York Lottery and the BBC. Peacocks new drawings were published and disseminated by Ragdoll Productions and Hodder Children’s Books.
