Abstract

London Underground' was an exhibition of British Artists at the Toomey-Tourell Gallery in San Francisco. The exhibition was curated by the American artist and writer Monroe Hodder. The research cited for this exhibition was a continuation of the works produced for an exhibition entitled 'Man from the South' at the Keith Talent Gallery in London, 2002. The research cited refers to a set of works produced that continues to explore the relationship between digital technologies and traditional 2- dimensional print and painting strategies. The definitive focus of research for these pieces was the dissemination of imagery through contemporary mediums and the contextual dissection of recycled imagery. A number of these works were purchased by private collectors and have subsequently been exhibited in the USA at Scope Art fair Miami, 2004. Ten Digital Paintings were produced for this exhibition. The exhibition was promoted with an invite card and a private view was held on 02/10/03.
