Abstract

The Brontë Parsonage Museum, Haworth
Crick Smith University of Lincoln (UL) were appointed by the Museum to undertake the research and analysis of the historic painted finishes surviving within selected
interiors of the house to inform the treatment of such, and enable the client to make decisions on redecoration and re-presentation.
Objective & Method
To carry out analysis of the paint finishes, to inform decision making about the restoration proposals. Particular emphasis is paid to the period of occupation of the
Brontë.
