Abstract

Crick Smith were commissioned by Sefton Council to conduct an architectural paint analysis of the historic buildings
and structures situated within King’s Gardens on the seafront surrounding the Marine Lake at Southport. The objective of this evidenced based research and analysis is to help inform the decision making process for the repair and restoration of the historic structures, providing a picture of their decorative appearance from initial construction to present day. The gardens are listed grade II on the Register of Historic Parks & Gardens and form an important recreational and leisure attraction to Southport’s visitors
