Abstract

The Triple Bottom-Line is now a traditional model to discuss sustainability. It has been helpful to make individuals and organisations aware of the impact of their actions. However, one criticism is that it has been unable to show how to achieve or negotiate a balance between the different dimensions involved (economic, environmental and social). This paper shows different reasons why this may happen. It also proposes where to look at to break this current impasse.
