Abstract
The article focuses on the case of adenovirus detection in a wild adult female red squirrel in Northern Ireland. It says that postmortem examination and molecular analysis through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) shows no sign of squirrelpox virus (SQPV). However, negative contrast stain transmission electron microscopy of the large intestine shows particles consistent to adenovirus.
