Abstract
Significant increases in the number of arrests of individuals who download or distribute Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) have led to a sense of overwhelm on part of investigative and clinical practitioners. A number of prevention approached have since been developed, working towards the joint goal of eliminating child sexual abuse, online and elsewhere. This plenary will focus on “desistance from online sex offending”; from a clinical perspective in your work with individual cases, and from a broader perspective, outlining the work of the International Working Group for Best Practice in the Management of Online Sex Offending.
